Advanced Life Support
PACT EMS equips every ambulance for advanced life support (ALS) capabilities. Our ALS ambulances are operated by highly skilled, trained paramedics who meet or exceed the requirements set forth by the State of Idaho and Washington. They carry the necessary medical equipment required to stabilize, treat, and transport patients to a specialized treatment facility, hospital emergency department, cardiac catheterization facility, or trauma center. All PACT ALS vehicles include Zoll ECG monitors with 12-Lead capability and non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring. PACT providers have access to mechanical ventilators with multiple mode selections, as well as noninvasive CPAP capabilities and comprehensive ePCR charting. When a patient is critically ill or requires a level of care above the normal scope of practice for a paramedic, PACT EMS uses specially trained paramedics to staff the ambulance. In addition to the capabilities of our ALS-equipped ambulances, these ambulances have specialized equipment and highly trained staff who are ready to deliver quality care. As a result, our ambulances are equivalent to a mobile emergency room or intensive care unit. It is as close as one can get to the hospital without being in a hospital.
