Cricothyrotomy or “Crics” is our training focus this week. We were generously donated pig lungs from C&L Locker, located in Moscow, ID. We learned hands on skills that would have been difficult without them!

Our station Medics, Sarah Earnest and Perry Shove, took lead with the training and used their specialized skills to present how to properly do a cricothyrotomy procedure.

We have some pictures of the training that give a first hand look at the respiratory structures such as the trachea, cricothyoid membrane, cricoid cartilage, epiliglotis, and of course, the lungs.
